Teresa Trudea-Magiskan, Elder & Cultural Health Associate
My first teachers are my mother Josephine Mandamin, grandparents, and many knowledge keepers in my community of Wikwemikong on Manitoulin Island. The National Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Program with Northern College was a starting point in my career life. I have over 40 years experience in health and cultural program development. I am with Midwewin which is a life long learning Medicine Teaching Lodge. I was a Traditional Healing Coordinator with Anishnawbe Mushkiki in Thunder Bay for 13 years where I gained the most in experiential learning of indigenous traditional healing practices and approaches.
